Train Ambulance Service From Delhi to Nagpur

When it comes to critical patient transfers across long distances, ensuring continuous medical support and safety is paramount. One such recent case demonstrates the expertise and dedication of Life Savers Ambulance Service's Train Ambulance Service, where a critically ill patient was safely transported from Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon to Kingsway Hospital, Nagpur.
The Critical Case of Mrs. Nirmala Chaukse
On 19th August 2025, Mrs. Nirmala Chaukse, a 75-year-old patient, was admitted to Medanta Hospital Gurgaon in an unconscious state. She was suffering from Hydrocephalus, Viral Fever, and Pneumonia, and referred from Kim's Kingsway Hospital Nagpur for specialized treatment.
Her medical history was complicated. In August 2021, she underwent surgery for a brain tumor at Medanta Hospital. Then, on 23rd July 2025, she had a VP Shunt operation for Hydrocephalus at Kingsway Hospital Nagpur.
After discharge on 28th July, she was re-admitted to Kingsway Hospital on 9th August 2025 due to worsening conditions, including unconsciousness, convulsions, high fever, pneumonia, breathlessness, and bronchospasm.
Life Savers Ambulance Service’s Critical Role
When her condition slightly improved in the ICU but remained unstable, the medical team decided to shift Mrs. Chaukse to Medanta Hospital Gurgaon for advanced care. On 18th August 2025, the patient was transferred by Life Savers Ambulance Service’s specialized Train Ambulance Service using AC 1 Tier with full ICU support.
Our highly trained medical team ensured that the patient received continuous life-saving care throughout the journey. The team monitored vital signs, provided oxygen therapy, and managed ventilator support while en route, ensuring zero medical compromise.
At Medanta, Mrs. Chaukse underwent an emergency fresh VP Shunt operation for Hydrocephalus on 26th August 2025. Post-surgery, she was maintained on a ventilator with tracheostomy in the ICU.
Current Patient Status and Further Transfer
Two days prior to the transfer back, Mrs. Chaukse showed slight improvement and was shifted to the ward on intermittent BiPAP and oxygen support. However, her condition remained critical, requiring further specialized care.
The medical team concluded that transferring her back to Kingsway Hospital Nagpur would be the best decision for long-term management. For this purpose, Life Savers Ambulance Service's Train Ambulance Service arranged a seamless and safe transfer using the Secunderabad Rajdhani Express in AC First Class with full ICU support.
Our expert medical professionals accompanied the patient to provide uninterrupted medical supervision, oxygen supply, and advanced life support throughout the journey.
