Patient Transportation From Delhi To Kolkata In ICU Rail Ambulance
A patient with brain stroke was shifted from Fortis Hospital (Vasant Kunj, Delhi) to Kolkata by Lifesavers ICU Rail ambulance with medical team. The patient had brain infarct with left side paralysis of half body. He was conscious and was able to speak but couldn’t take food orally. The main challenge during the transportation was to maintain the body hydration and parameters by giving continuous I/V FLUIDS and take care of Foley catheter with urine bag. To avoid development of bed sores, the body position was frequently changed. The patient was shifted to Kolkata safely and in a stable condition.
